![]() excursion on the Westside, we headed to Little Five Points to grab a quick lunch at The Vortex. It's different and unique and they continue to uphold that feel. Atlanta Eats: The Vortex Atlanta Eats, Atlanta Georgia. Overall, for how much people rave about the restaurant, I would tend to agree. Although The Vortex is known as a bit of a more grungy feel, I definitely recognized the cleanliness within the restaurant and the care that went with the aura. He also provided some much needed recommendations which i appreciated. Our server made sure to check in with us multiple times while continuing to provide space for us to not feel overwhelmed. ![]() Service and employees, again not taking themselves too seriously, are quire nice and attentive. I would rate it as some of the best in Atlanta. Topped with a fried egg, 3 slices of American cheese and 3 slices of bacon. Topped with cheddar cheese, spicy honey BBQ sauce, and crispy onion rings, served on Texas toast. The burgers, being famous and the pinnacle of their menu, are definitely worth the calories. Topped with a scoop of mind-expanding blue cheese, sauteed mushrooms and bacon. Again though, no one really comes to The Vortex for their healthy choices. The selection is daunting, with many being named for their high levels of cholesterol inducing additions. The Vortex is known, above all else, for their burgers. This is reflected throughout the menu and from the general attitude of the employees, which is somewhat refreshing. The Vortex is a restaurant that doesn't take itself too seriously and highly encourages patrons to be the same. It is relatively dark inside, with a random assortment of knickknacks, retro-inspired art and decor, and post-modern art hanging throughout the walls and from the ceiling. The Vortex Bar & Grill, in Midtown Atlanta, is a 21 and over location, with ID check at the entrance.
